szechuan tofu beef
Makes 4 servings
1/2 lb Ground beef
1-1/2 Cups Green onions, sliced
2 Garlic cloves, minced
1-1/2 Cups Chicken broth
4 Tbs Soy Sauce
2 Tbs Chili sauce
2 tsp Sesame oil
1/2 tsp Hot chili oil
1/2 tsp Red pepper flakes
3 Tbs Corn starch
3 Tbs Water
1-1/2 Cup Tofu (bean curd), cut into 1/2-inch cubes
Crumble ground beef into large
skillet. On high heat, brown
beef; drain fat. Combine
green onions and minced garlic
with the ground beef and cook,
stirring quickly.
Stir in the chicken broth, soy
sauce, chili sauce, oils and
red pepper flakes. Mix to
combine thoroughly and all
ingredients are heated
through.
Combine the corn starch and
water to create a slurry. Add
slurry to the skillet mixture.
Stir continuously until the
sauce thickens.
Gently stir in the bean curd
cubes. Continue cooking over
medium heat for 3 minutes.
Serve immediately with steamed
rice or over a bed of crispy noodles.
