The historic Raffles Hotel in Singapore is known worldwide for two things: the Long Bar... and the Singapore Sling, a drink of almost mythic reputation. It was created in 1915 by Raffles bartender Ngiam Tong Boon.
Makes 1 serving
1-1/2 jiggers Gin
1/2 jigger Fresh lime juice
3 jiggers Pineapple juice
1 drop Angostura bitter
1 dash Benedictine dom
1 dash Cointreau
1/2 jigger Peter Heering
Combine all the ingredients
together in a cocktail shaker.
Shake gently, then strain into
a tumbler.
Garnish with a small pineapple
wedge and a cherry.
